Hi, I'm Iris
Former senior experience designer at ThoughtWorks, with 5 years of experience related to user research, design, and system analysis. During the my time at ThoughtWorks, I worked with major clients including China’s biggest consumer bank, China’s largest telecommunication company, and world’s leading automobile manufacturer.
I have experience in industries including telecommunication, retail, finance, IT staffing, and education. Consolidating my expertise in multiple disciplines, I deliver extraordinary product experience for the end user.
Before joining ThoughWorks, I was a Business Analyst at Deloitte Consulting, then offered user experience consultancy for the biggest IT company in Portugal, re-designing its customer service management system.
My education was from Masters of Human-Computer Interaction (MHCI) program at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), with a dual degree from Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute (m-iti) in Portugal.
I was the host of the Global Service Jam, Shenzhen, 2018, and organized this event again in 2019 for 6 cities in China. I have translated two books: Designing Social Interfaces and The Customer-Driven Playbook.
I draw inspirations from extensive reading, travelling and meeting new people. I sketch to record my encounters and to express my ideas. I also love dark chocolate and black coffee.
